W. D. Lang map of Lyme to Pinhay.

Introduction

The W. D. Lang geological maps of Lyme Regis were digitised, georeferenced and made available through the third party application Maprika, the video below explains some of what we were able to work out and share with the public by doing so.

Jeremy Young, Research Associate at UCL, Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 2012 from Creative Coop on Vimeo.

Ed and Sam on the Lang cliff edge.

Sam Bennet and myself standing on top of a line of large stones we positioned where the cliff edge would have been in 1912.

Back in the Fossil Festival marquee we had a team of people ready to help people install Maprika on their mobile phones and tablet devices, the Prezi below is a copy of two posters we had at the stand in the marquee. The first covers the use of the Maprika app, the second shows how the cliff section and Lang maps are related to each other.
