Emptying the trash in Ubuntu
A friend asked me how to remove files from the Trash (= 'Deleted Items' or 'Recycling Bin') folder on Ubuntu that they did not have permission to delete.This is trivial task if you know where the Trash is stored, for Ubuntu 8.04 or later just enter this at the terminal:
sudo rm -rf ~/.local/share/Trash/ *
